Zamboni
For this page, I tried taking paper meant for summer and use it as a winter page. Can you tell it's 4th of July paper?
I popped the pictures up and cut the pattern paper in strips so it wouldn't look too busy.
I had these silver thickers in my stash forever. I think it goes well with the cold and ice in the pics.
This is the last of my layouts from my retreat so until I get my garage sale stuff in order and marked I won't be able to work on any pages. Maybe that will help me to get my butt in gear. Plus since my mom is no longer scrapbooking she gave me all her stuff. I can't wait to dig into to see what she has.

Friendship
Only the 2nd page I've done in the last 4 years that my son hasn't been the focus. And what color do I pick? Blue. While in the middle of the layout I thought why didn't I choose pink with bright flowers or something girly since I'm always doing boy pages. Oh well, I like the way it turned out. This is my good friend Renee, we've been friends for 20 years. I'm going to hang it my scrapbook room.
I cut the flowers and popped them up. I added silver button brads in the center.
I also popped the photo and the title. I got some frilly ribbon that went perfect with the paper. I really wanted to add more of it but I just couldn't make it look right. Instead I just used it as a little tab.
Thanks for looking, have a great weekend.

Apple Orchard
This started out as an old hardcover book my son had when he was a baby. I had so many great photos of our visit to the Apple Orchard I had to make a mini album if I wanted to display them all. This book had alot of pages in it so it was perfect. The only problem is it doesn't close all the way, that's why I punched a hole in the front cover and back cover and ran ribbon through it to keep it from opening up. It actually worked out ok because now I can just set it up on my fireplace. I used MME on the entire album.
These are just some of the pages, like I said there's alot of pages in this book. As much as I love mini albums I'm so glad to be done with it. I also think since it had so many pages I wasn't into the details as much as I would have been. I couldn't put any kind of dimension on the pages since the book already didn't close all the way.

Llama Llama Red Pajama
I love all the different wood textures out there, I think I could use it on every layout. This collection is from MME.
It seems like I've been doing alot of banners lately, but I really like it with this page.
This new tape lace I got is the best, just peel the back off and you're done!
I'm slowing down on the layouts. We are going to have a huge garage sale of all my sons things from birth and he is now 4 1/2. My scrap room is full of boxes of toys, clothes and everything else a baby needs. It's such a mess right now I don't even want to walk in there.

Holidazzle Parade
Since it's going to be a rainy and cool day here in MN I thought I would post a winter layout. As soon as I saw the buildings on a sticker sheet from October Afternoon I knew I wanted to use it for this layout since we are in downtown Minneapolis to watch the holidazzle parade.
I added some stickles here and there to the title to put some "dazzle" into it. I also used some pop dots to pop some of the letters.
My cute little buildings that are suppose to mimic downtown Minneapolis.
Thanks for looking!

Sweet Summertime
My first time ever splattering a page. It was fun, though I don't think I chose the right color I still like it. I had a fun time playing around with a new technique that I've been afraid to try.
I'm loving these colorful gems!
And my splatters!
I also used my edge pump and some inking on some of the edges.
The pattern paper is LYB and the banner I used is from CTMH.
